After a recent discussion with Critique over pictures & links, it was decided that the two sections would be seperated. Critique mentioned that this section had been left almost completely as it was since the opening of the site. That got me thinking, whilst the discussion forums are lively and full of members then the main site isn't that interesting outside of the articles page.
What I am getting at here is, what ideas can people come up with to liven it up? Can you think of any ideas that will make the site more interesting. Bare in mind that this doesn't mean any suggestions will certainly be implemented, this is purely out of curiosity and partly to see what you guys think. Also bare in mine that the team working on the actual site consists purely of myself and Critique, and unless you are willing to donate then anything costing money is a no-no, as is anything requiring super-advanced coding. Keeping this in mind, suggest away...

Ladies & Gents, It took a while to find the time but I have finally got around to making the first and most basic website changes. The old rating system is now gone, all articles are dated and the new system has been introduced. I have separated Pictures & Links and rewritten the text and descriptions for them and perhaps most exciting of all each section has something new. The additions are; Naselus's religion article, The Critical Compass and a few new links. I hope you all enjoy the changes and agree with me when I say the site now looks a lot less cluttered and more interesting. More work will come of course, but I thought that as it's already February, we need a new update! Keep in mind that this is just the basic changes to the site to clean up the virtually unused Pictures/Links sections into two active and seperate easy to update sections and to sort out the articles. To start making further changes we're really going to need some member input, which is one area we are lacking in. Myself & Critique are willing to put in work to make this site better, but we need to know what you guys actually want changing and adding so please give us some ideas. Otherwise what we change isn't going to be revolutionary at all. Even if you've got no ideas, posting new Pictures and/or Links for us to upload is just as much help. Give us some feedback!

Hi! I was going to post a new thread, but this option seems not to exist in the site feedback section.
Anyway, I like the update to the new version of proboards (especially the quick reply box). The main .tk site however, leaves a lot to be desired. To be frank, the design is very 1996, and has little to catch the eye. The blue on blue colour scheme isn't very imaginative, and posting the dates of articles makes the place look bad when there hasn't been any new contributions since march!
I know web design may not be anyone's particular forte, but improvements do need to be made. I would be more than happy to design a snappy logo to improve the general look of the place, but the site needs quite a radical overhaul to attract people both to it, and to the forums.
What would be most helpful would be a new thread asking for suggestions and volunteers, with a deadline for contributions, and then a deadline for the updates to be made.
Also, the news headlines that are posted go out of date very quickly. I used to run a couple of sites, as Nas and Storm will attest (Jedi Knight clan lol), and I'm keen to get more people to the forums and getting some lively debate going.
As you were!

On behalf of the management, I am delighted to accept your offer to design a logo, and I wish to extend my thanks to you.
On the other point, I will investigate the possibilities and opportunities for re-design of the site and colour scheme. Flash might be an option if I can acqaint myself with the software to a sufficient level.

I really like the idea of a redesign, especially the one that involves everyone contributing to it. I guess the problem is that the site hasn't been updating since March due to both Critique and I being unable to access the forum. Now we've managed to get back on I see no reason why we can't get things on here going again!
