If there are any other problems with the forum please report them here.
So far the only one I know about is public computers logging you off when they please. The solution to this is to select the 'always keep me logged in' option on the login screen.

I have another solution, if you log in and are logged off without your consent, click on log in and you will be automatically logged back in.

Only one person can be fully 'Logged on' at one time On a public network. So if there is more than one person surfing any proboard at any one time then people will get logged out.

Incorrect. On most networks (I assume you are referring to the school network when you typed that message), you are logged in by individual computer. The problem with networks is that they do not reload the page when you click on the icon for it. ie. Explorer shows the most recently loaded page on the network with the same address, whether it has been loaded from another computer or not.
Proboards has the same address for all pages which does not depend on who you are logged in as. This is partially the cause for the problem. Therefore on a network you may be looking at the homepage of another user. YOU ARE STILL LOGGED IN. The answer to this is to refesh the page whenever you go back to it.
If you are unable to understand the above explaination please contact me.

Naselus made a post on the "Blair's Health" thread this morning and it seems to have vanished. I thought it was worth mentioning it here cos it was a rather neat post.

Yeah, it has vanished now, but for about an hour or so HStorm's reply was there twice. It seems it overwrote it and then deleted itself. Odd.

Not my doing, nor to my knowledge Critique's or Mekanik's (they haven't been on today) so it must be a Proboards error. If it happens again then just report it and we'll take action.

Yes, I am afraid it can only be a ProBoards error. This is the first time I have been online today, and I am sure the Mekanik hasn't been on today neither.
I hate to say this, but if you have an 'elegant' post, I reccomend you do a backup copy into Misrosoft Word (or other appropriate applications) and delete it after a day. Just precautionary.

I'm not really that bothered, to be honest.
Anyone had any problems with the 'Last ten posts' section? it doesn't seem to show the last reported post from one of the forums. I've been trying to work out which one, since it DOES work with others.
Today, it wasn't showing the last post in the 'polls' section until rob had added one to 'Articles', when both appeared. Bizarre, and not a particularly big problem, but quite annoying.

It doesn't update with posts on the general board. It hasn't been doing so for about a month, and it swings into action when there's a post on another board.

Hmm, I've had this problem today but I though it was caused by slow connection. It appears this is a genuine Proboards error & therefore nothing much can be done at the moment, when Critique is next around he can decided whether to report it to Proboards or not.

I believe its the general board - I just posted on prisoner rights and it failed to show in ten most recent posts. I'll report it on proboards tonight.

I have a problem. To you, some threads are old that no-one has been on for ages. So they all seem to have little padlocks on them and you cannot post on them. For newbies, every thread is new, and if you wish to post, you cannot. If you dont want to have people post on threads, cant you just delete them so as not to dangle a carrot (or a good subject) in our face, leading to us only being frustrated not being able to make a point?

I'll field this one, old posts are left so new members can read them for reference and perhaps to learn something. Most threads lose relevance, the discussion goes stall and it slips to the bottom of the list & people can find it annoying to find a topic from March has suddeny been dragged back up from the dead by a newbie (some forums call it necroposting). If you are desperate to talk about a specific subject feel free to make a new thread on it, no one will mind (as long as it still has some shred of relevance).

Er... it seems that I'm not allowed to use "liquidus" in my display name, Rob and/or Will. Could this please be rectified?

Done, for some reason both 'liquidus' and 'liquidus219' had been placed on the reserved name list :S

Just noticed that the posts me and Storm made yesterday in the Truman commission thread have been del'd. Proboard error?

Gah, yeah must be. Here we go again...
Pity, there was some really good stuff in those posts, even if they were drifting some way off-topic and onto the conundrum of modern China.
