Once upon a time, in the land of Brighton, there was a Labour Party Conference. And at the conference, there was much rejoicing, and hearty patting-on-the-back, for labour didn't care that their majority had been massively cut and that they had lied unto the people, for their leader, Tony Blair, was a very bad man.
Now, it came to be that Jack Straw, one of the bad men who had perverted the cause of the Labour party under Mr Blair's rule, was to speak in defence of the War that Labour had unjustly started. And as he spoke out in defence of the war, one of the Labour members spoke up against him, with a shout of 'nonsense!'. The man was called Walter Wolfgang, and he was 82 years of age and a retired accountant. This naturally made him so dangerous that the Labour elite ordered him removed by two large burly stewards and thrown out onto the streets of Brighton, to be devoured by the dogs.
Now Walter's case was taken up by all the people of the land, and they cried out at this obvious fascism. And Blair and Straw and all his cronies were forced to allow Mr Walter back into the conference, and had to apologise profusely. But it was too late, for this act had drawn attention to labour's new policy of increased stop-and-search powers, and on-the-spot fines, and their total lack of dedication to the left they claimed to represent. And there was much lament and tugging of beards. And David Blunkett had a new fancy-woman half his age, as well, to make matters even worse. At least the blind pratt won't be reading this.
Seriously, what the hell was going on with this? An 82 year old man is manhandled from a conference because he didn't agree completely with the party line? What's next? A purge of the Red Army?
