A Grand idea. Rob is currently in charge of roleplaying, and if he chooses he may accept the idea.
The 'other' section is totally independant of the Political section. It is for anything, and it does not have to be political, critical, or anything constructive. Mike and Rob have suggested a roleplaying game, and that will be in the other section.
Members do not have to participate, or use the other section, although they are encouraged to. A copy of this post will be appearing in Admin Announcements.

Mike, your idea intrigues me and I will start this as a 'beta' version with the forum. The daily events of each country can be broadcast through daily newspapers or tv shows which is 'watched' by the leaders. I will begin work on it now. Contact me if you have any further ideas on this!

The rules for version 0.1 (beta) are being written up and will hopefully be ready for Wednesday's launch.

In reality the launch was meant to mean that the website was complete, but over time it will be developed and updated, and therefore I will still warmly welcome your suggestions for improvements.
I intend for the forum to grow in size and develop some incredibly interesting topics of debate. I also hope for a fantastic archive with regularly updated articles.
Please keep posting suggestions. Regards

Gentlemen, I have finally managed to register www.thecritique.tk after months of problems with their servers, and you can now visit us there aswell. Would everyone support a switch in address from .cjb.net to .tk? It is only a suggestion, and will not change if people are against it. Please post your views on this issue as it is important. Cheers TheCritique

Well both are fine, why not put something on the main site saying 'www.thecritique.tk' is also a usable address.

The reason I'm thinking of changing it is that .tk is easier to remember than .cjb.net, simply because the latter is longer. What does everyone else think about the proposed changes?

If you mean it like that then I don't agree, for a few characters then you would lose the easily remembered name.

As you can see I have decided to change the domain of the site before it develops any further. I apologise for any inconvenienve caused. I shall inform you of when I intend to remove the .cjb.net address.
A copy of this message will be appearing in admin announcements. If there are any suggestions for improvements to the site please continue to post them.

I like the cjb.net address too, can you not just leave that up as well?

Aslong as it's short and easy to remember, then I don't mind

There are actually 2 reasons I want to change to .tk. The first is that they have a free traffic check. The second is that it is easy to remember, especially for new users.

You could have games linked to politics if you can find them but I think it will give the site a little bouce which it needs

I need more members for the forum. I think I am putting everything here for people but I am not getting as much response as I would perhaps like; partly the reason for this suggestions section. I would be grateful if members would encourage others to register. I will reward you the best I can; eg. custom ranks (I know how to add stars to them!, so you'll look big and important, just like me! (only kidding)). Age of members is not a problem; the older the wiser!
Regarding your game suggestion Jammie, I have already tried that with no success. Remember the diplomacy roleplaying game which no-one updated on? There is now a pol there to collect opinions, and give an impression of how many will participate. I will keep you updated on this.
Film Reviews: I am useless at writing film reviews; I scored grade D in the English Coursework regarding the topic. Any film reviews that you have I would be pleased to display on the site. I know members of my English class may still have theirs. Thankyou.

I wouldn't mind writing some film reviews, I would do that after my education article is complete.

Excellent. Do you still have a copy of the LOTR2 one you wrote for English coursework?

I'm having great difficulty reading the screen display - at my age you actually need larger font sizes. I suggest you review this web site to ensure it is accessible to everyone especially us oldies with poor eyesight. Don't forget the Disability Discrimination Act is now law. Other that this, I'm very impressed with this site and the intellectual capacity of its members! Keep up the good work !

THE DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT?#!? You mean you need glasses! Anyway, I do not know how to enlarge the font on the forum, blame proboards. The font on the site itself is more than large enough.
On a lighter note, welcome to this forum, and I thankyou on behalf of my existing members for praising us with high intellectual capacity. I assume you have the same intellegence due to your name! One of the aims of the forum is debate for us intellectuals! Inform me if you have any problems or other suggestions.
Best Regards
TheCritique (forum administrator and site owner)

Ladies and Gentlemen, other than the Flash conversion no major developments are planned for the site. I need more suggestions for improvements. Please post any ideas you have, and they will all be taken into consideration.
