That's an interesting idea. We did have a different kind of RPG on here a few months ago, more espionage-style than political, but hardly anyone bothered with it. This different subject matter might work better.

In my opinion another RPG is out of the question. When we first started, the RPG board went totally unused. There was at first a politics based game which required players to head a country, but that was a total failure as no one updated enough. The second was, as HStorm said, an espionage-based RPG which no one bothered with either. After complaints about the RPG board serving no purpose it was taken down and I don't think our member numbers have increased enough to warrant a third try. Feel free to make you own forum for it and we'll advertise it here, but I wouldn't think it's worth hosting on here.

A little matter that's been bugging me for a while...
On the Articles board, Rob has, very sensibly, put up threads asking people to assess and rate articles in the archive, and he amends the title to provide the average rating. But can I recommend that there should also be pasted in at the top of the thread a link to the page where people can read the article? I think we need to make more attempt to tie the forum to the rest of the site by providing more links between them.

A sensible and constructive suggestion. I'll see about adding the links when I have time.

Well as the idea's got your approval I'll do it now myself. I'll add a link to the main site in the news fader, and I'll also create new ratings threads for all the articles in the archive.

Perhaps the articles page is starting to look a bit unwieldy now? I suggest we divide it up into smaller pages to make things look neater. (It would also take the dates-of-writing off the front page, which, as Modeski pointed out, should make the site look less dated.) The links on the main page, instead of pointing to individual articles, could point to groups of articles, which are organised by author, or by topic, or by context, or suchlike.
For instance, we could have a page of links to articles about The War On Terror, a page of links to comedy articles, a page of links to home affairs articles, and so on.
